Welcome to a brand new episode of Ian’s Untitled Scene Show! In this episode, I have returning friend of the show, Mike Felker, vocalist for Convictions!

A lot has happened since I last spoke with Mike. There’s a new Mortal Kombat movie, the venue I saw Convictions in live last closed (non-covid related), they are now an independent band, and their new EP, ‘I Won’t Survive,’ COMES OUT THIS FRIDAY! Mike talks about what he’s been up to recently, being an independent band, and we talk in-depth about the new EP! It’s another fun conversation with Mike that also covers some important topics. Make sure you listen in.

Note - I recorded this when I apparently was about to get sick, and my pop-filter broke, so you’ll hear some more plosives than you’d normally hear on the shows. Hey, nothing is perfect. Also, you can read an advanced review of the EP here: REVIEW

Convictions just had their sophomore album through InVogue Records, 'Hope For The Broken', come out very recently and Mike takes Ian through the changes from 'I Will Become', the writing process, and a lot more. Learn about how Mike got into music, faith, Star Wars, and still, even more! Perhaps an upcoming visit to Ian Hates Movies is in the works...

We don't want to give away too much here obviously, but just know, if you haven't listened yet, 'Hope For The Broken' is a really great album and one of Ian's favorites. Pick it up and support Mike and Convictions, then listen to this episode!

Ghost Key - Austin O'Brien - Ian Hates Music #135

Ghost Key - Austin O'Brien - Ian Hates Music #135

Friend of the show Austin O'Brien, the vocalist of Ghost Key, returns to Ian Hates Conversations: Music Edition, but this time, it's in the Ian Hates Studios...

That's right! This conversation is live and in-person at Ian Hates Studios (Ian's apartment)! So, this may sound different from a "typical" Ian Hates Conversations/Ian Hates Music episode. Austin talks everything from the new tour with Coldfront, InVogue Records, and mental health, to how much he loves his favorite new beer Carlsberg! Will Ghost Key and Ian Hates be sponsored by Carlsberg after this episode...?

No intro. No Outro. Just two people conversing in a room.

Tune in for a first from Ian Hates!

Let Ian know you're feedback when you're done as well.

The track you hear at the end of the conversation is the title track from Ghost Key's debut album 'If I Don't Make It" on InVogue Records! Ian loves that track and that album! If you didn't know that already. Go pick it up if you haven't already.

Make sure to support Austin O'Brien and Ghost Key by following the links below:

Thanks again to Austin for coming back on the show and for braving Ian's studio to have such a great conversation! Make sure to check out Austin and Ghost Key on tour and stay tuned for new music!
