First and Forever - Alex Ryan - Ian's Untitled Scene Show

Welcome to a brand new episode of Ian’s Untitled Scene Show! In this episode, I feature returning friend of the show Alex Ryan, vocalist for First and Forever!

It’s a pretty exciting time for the Arizona-based emo/pop-punk band First and Forever. Their new EP ‘Let This Love Lie Dead’ came out last Friday through Adventure Cat Records, their first ever single reached over 1 million streams on Spotify, and there’s so much more in the works! Alex talks about all of this, including having covid, moving from Chicago to Arizona, and everything you’d ever want to know about the band!

It’s always great catching up with Alex, so make sure you take multiple listens of the new EP and then listen in to a fun, in-depth talk.

The Best, Worst, and the "Meh" of the Scene in 2020 - Ian's Untitled Scene Show

The Best, Worst, and the "Meh" of the Scene in 2020 - Ian's Untitled Scene Show

IUSS Holiday.jpg

I was visited by the ghosts of Scene past, present, and future, and even though they agreed with all my opinions of the scene, the one thing they wanted from me was to stop trying to make everything perfect and just put out episodes without worrying about making them sound studio quality. So, here’s the end of 2020 episode with all the scars that the real 2020 has (i.e. no editing, you get what you get). No one seems to care when shows sound like it’s two guys in a bathroom stall and not humorous whatsoever, so why would you care that Dave is halfway across the country and there’s some background noise?

Anyway, I’m hanging out with the Scene ghosts right now listening to From First to Last and talking about how terrible Alt Press is. Enjoy the jokes and please stay safe and healthy this holiday season!

Happy Holidays!

Merry Christmas!

Happy New Year!

Stay Scene!

SLAVES.jpg

Welcome to a brand new episode of Ian’s Untitled Scene Show! In this episode, I feature returning friends of a past show, Colin Vieira and Matt McAndrew of Slaves!

At the time of this recording, actually just hours before, the guys had just released a new music video for the single, ‘Like I Do’, AND made a huge announcement that after the release of their new album, ‘To Better Days’ (out August 7th through SBG Records), they’d be changing their band name from ‘Slaves’ to a new name that would be announced at a later date. We talk in-depth about all of this news, the album ‘To Better Days’, and so much more!

Also, Liverpool FC won the Premier League title a mere couple of hours before this recording as well, and since I’m a huge LFC fan, I figure it would only be right to “warn” you, hahaha.

I Feel TRAPT in This Scene - Part 3 - Ian's Untitled Scene Show

I Feel TRAPT in This Scene - Part 3 - Ian's Untitled Scene Show

IFTITS Part 3.jpg

PART 3!!!!! The really punch-drunk part…

The guys continue from Part 1 and 2, going into the context of jokes, other scene podcasts stealing (I’m only talking about certain shows of course), how to deal with social media, and a ton of making fun of Jackson!

There’s no Part 4, so don’t you worry.

You read all that correctly (three times, hopefully). Get ready for a lot of fun, scene knowledge, and a lot of strong opinions!

TRIGGER WARNING: Do not take things Ian, Jackson, and James say seriously. Ian, Jackson, and James also wish everyone impacted by covid-19 the best and a quick recovery. Stay safe and healthy out there everyone. A lot of people’s jobs are also affected (touring personnel, restaurant and bar staff, and so many more), so help out when you have the means. None of this works to say in a comedy show, but in the description, it does.

To quote the great scene band Chuggaboom, “If you’re easily offended, here’s your trigger warning”…Learn to take many fucking jokes, life will be better for you.

Listen to the exclusive show here (until some other show steals the content to use it as their own…). Also, available on Spotify, iTunes, and more, just look below:

I Feel TRAPT in This Scene - Part 1 - Ian's Untitled Scene Show

IFTITS-P1.jpg

It’s time to talk scene with Ian Scene. Wow, those two things seem to go together pretty well…must not be a coincidence…

Hey, don’t bother with that gibberish. The guys felt like catching up and talking the scene and a ton of tangents as they’re known to do. But, this talk went so long I decided to cut it into parts. Part 1 deals with some covid-19 talk (obviously), A Day To Remember, the word “simp” replacing “stan", Star Wars, and much, much more!

The next parts deal with The Used, a take you’ve only heard from Ian Scene on the “Trapt situation”, and still, so much more. Make sure to look out for those!

You read that correctly. Get ready for a lot of fun, scene knowledge, and a lot of strong opinions!

Welcome to a brand new episode of Ian’s Untitled Scene Show! In this episode, I feature amazing drummer and songwriter Matt Greiner of August Burns Red!

At the time of this recording, it’s literally hours before the release of Agust Burns Red’s new album ‘Guardians’, out through Fearless Records! With how much Matt has been doing and with the premiere of the new album coming up, this is a shorter talk than usual. But that doesn’t mean we don’t get into a lot of August Burns Red talk!

Note: Here’s a link to the Zildjian drum playthrough we mention: Click Here.
