Sheeps N Rubes - Part 1 - Ian Hates The Scene

Ian Hates The Scene Part 1.jpg

It’s a combination show of Ian Hates Music and Ian’s Untitled Scene Show that results in, IAN HATES THE SCENE! Which of Ian’s personalities are talking, Ian Scene or Ian Hates? He’ll never tell! Wow, that’s dumb. Anyway, Dave returns for a brand new combination show where we talk all the scene news that’s important right now, including but not limited to: streaming shows, backing tracks at live shows, idiots on Twitter, reaction videos, and recent allegations.

Lots of strong opinions and hopefully some jokes are on the way.

TRIGGER WARNING: Do not take jokes Ian and Dave say seriously. There is also a serious conversation about allegations in the scene. If you can’t handle a discussion and conversation on serious topics then don’t listen to this episode and check out Part 2. Part 2 focuses on new singles and album reviews! Maybe that’s more up your alley?

To quote the great scene band Chuggaboom, “If you’re easily offended, here’s your trigger warning”…Learn to take many fucking jokes, life will be better for you.

Listen to the exclusive show here (until some other show steals the content to use it as their own…). Also, available on Spotify, iTunes, and more, just look below:

Big shout out to two people who have helped the show greatly over the years. First up, Rick, who helps anytime I need a promo image! Thanks so much, man! Go follow him on Twitter!

Next up, a huge HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Megan! She’s been a constant supporter of mine and I appreciate her very much! She does crazy exercise stuff, so make sure to check out her website and support her!

IAN HATES HAS HIJACKED IAN’S UNTITLED SCENE SHOW…again…!

Dave is back again too! This was an impromptu show because of all the impact the coronavirus has had on our scene. Get ready for a lot of talk on that topic and a lot more. No editing, no prep, all scene. Also, this is a comedy show. Do not take things Ian and Dave say seriously. Ian and Dave also wish everyone impacted by the coronavirus the best and a quick recovery. Stay safe and healthy out there everyone. A lot of people’s jobs are also affected, so help out when you have the means. None of this works to say in a comedy show, but in the description, it does.

To quote the great scene band Chuggaboom, “If you’re easily offended, here’s your trigger warning”…Learn to take a fucking joke.

Doyle - Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein - Ian Hates Music #216

Doyle - Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein - Ian Hates Music #216

It’s 2019 and what better way to start the year than with an absolute legend in the business? On this episode of Ian Hates Conversations: Music Edition, Ian welcomes the great Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein of the band Doyle to the show!

It’s been quite a year for Doyle as he’s currently finishing up a 75 date leg of the ‘AS WE DIE Abomination Tour’, and that’s only part of the full tour! In 2013, Doyle put out their debut album ‘Abominator’ and recently in 2017, Doyle put out their sophomore album ‘Doyle II: As We Die’. Since then, Doyle has been touring nonstop.

Ian got the opportunity to catch up with the ex-Misfits legendary guitarist on a conference number before a recent show, so it’s shorter than a “normal” Ian Hates interview, but Doyle opens up to Ian about being on tour, the pitfalls of the music industry and streaming services, American concert-goers not living up to the hype, and a lot more!

Just like with his music, Doyle doesn’t hold back and you need to hear what he has to say. If you’re a Misfits fan and/or a horror metal/horror punk fan and you don’t know the band Doyle, get on it because you’re missing out!

Getting to speak, even for a short while, with someone like Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein is something Ian won’t soon forget. He doesn’t throw the word “legend” around lightly and that’s what Doyle is, a legend.

Make sure to support Doyle by following the links below:

Doyle:

Huge thanks to Doyle for taking time out of his busy schedule to come on the show. He’s extremely busy on the massive ‘AS WE DIE World Abomination Tour’, so make sure you look up his dates and go support him live! Show Doyle that Americans can bring it at live shows and buy some merch while you’re at it!

Saving Vice - Tyler Small and Chase Papariello - Ian Hates Music #196

Saving Vice - Tyler Small and Chase Papariello - Ian Hates Music #196

It's time for a very cool Ian Hates Conversations: Music Edition featuring the lead vocalists of Saving Vice, Tyler Small and Chase Papariello!

It's a really exciting time for Saving Vice as their debut EP 'Colder Than Dark' came out recently, they're playing the Massachusetts date of Warped Tour, and it was just announced that they'll be playing the main stage of iMatter Festival in August!

Tyler and Chase go over what the dynamic is like for them playing live, the dual vocalist stigma in Metalcore, and a whole lot more! You won't want to miss this!

In fact, this is such a good conversation, it's only Part 1! Brief warning though, as you'll hear in the conversation, there are some phone issues. For one, there are a couple (and I mean only a couple) weird sounds at the beginning of the call, but, there's also an issue where when Ian talks, Chase and Tyler's side sounds "underwater" for a couple seconds. This is a very strange phenomenon, which has only happened once or twice in the history of Ian Hates. It's addressed during the conversation early, and Ian tries to not chime in as much, but that changes the timing of a "normal" conversation. So, for Part 2, Ian and Saving Vice are going to speak LIVE at Warped Tour! So check out Part 1 now and Part 2 will be on its' way shortly!

Follow the links below to support Tyler, Chase, and Saving Vice with everything they do:

Many thanks to Chase and Tyler for taking the time to come on Ian Hates Conversations: Music Edition! Make sure to pick up their EP 'Colder Than Dark' and catch them live at Warped Tour in Mansfield, MA, and iMatter Festival! Ian will definitely be covering Warped Tour, so go join them for a great time!
