2024 Scene Showdown Featuring Jake Whalen of Pyro, Ohio

2024 Scene Showdown Featuring Jake Whalen of Pyro, Ohio

Did you miss that old podcast intro as much as Ian did?

Welcome to a brand new episode of Ian’s Untitled Scene Show! In this episode, it’s a fan favorite: the 2024 year-end SCENE wrap-up show featuring Jake Whalen of Pyro, Ohio!

It’s been a long time since Ian got to record a full show on the Scene (like…a year…), so he was thrilled when Jake was excited to do this again. They discuss tons of albums and EPs released in the scene this year (over 200 misread by Ian!), live music, and even Ian’s secret Spotify top artist of 2024 (who deserves much more said about them than Ian does in this episode!) 🤘

Check out the exclusive conversation below, including iTunes, Spotify, and more:

A big thank you goes out to Cody, Ty, and anyone else (especially Rick) who has helped out the show all these years!

Warning: this is still a comedy podcast! If you don’t like that Ian and Jake made fun of your favorite band(s)…get better taste! Also, if they missed any bands, let them know so they can check them out for next year!

IAN HATES HAS HIJACKED IAN’S UNTITLED SCENE SHOW…again…again…!

This is a show Ian Hates has wanted to do for years and with a covid-19 pandemic out there, there’s no better time! Ian Hates (the bad one) and Ian Scene (the good one) welcome returning co-hosts Dave and Jackson as they take 32 of the most popular scene bands and whittle them down to…

The.

Single.

Worst.

Current.

Scene.

Band!

You read that correctly. Get ready for a lot of fun, scene knowledge, and a lot of strong opinions!

TRIGGER WARNING: Do not take things Ian, Dave, and Jackson say seriously. Ian, Dave, and Jackson also wish everyone impacted by covid-19 the best and a quick recovery. Stay safe and healthy out there everyone. A lot of people’s jobs are also affected (touring personnel, restaurant and bar staff, and so many more), so help out when you have the means. None of this works to say in a comedy show, but in the description, it does.

To quote the great scene band Chuggaboom, “If you’re easily offended, here’s your trigger warning”…Learn to take many fucking jokes, life will be better for you.

Listen to the exclusive show here (until some other show steals the content to use it as their own…). Also, available on Spotify, iTunes, and more, just look below:

Also, building another brand is tough. Please pardon any name and content change issues as everything gets worked out. If you liked what you heard and want to hear more and see more, please support by following and sharing on these sites:

Ian Hates Music #205 - Dancing Alone

Ian Hates Music #205 - Dancing Alone

Are you ready for a solo Ian Hates Music?

Probably not or you don’t care, either way though you’re reading this and you might as well give it a listen…

Ian decided to turn the mic on and just do a show covering some topics in the scene including, but not limited to:

  • Twenty One Pilots’ ‘Trench’ “leaking”

  • Tours

  • New songs

  • Great albums out now

  • “Stan Culture”

  • A band he’s listening to

  • Breakdown From The Past

  • And more!

Obviously, this is a lot different than most “normal” Ian Hates Music episodes, but if you like it, let Ian know! Maybe it’ll become more of a regular thing.

Ian is the scene!

If you go to iTunes and rate the show 5 stars and leave a review, let Ian know on social media (links below) and Ian will shout you out on the next show! You have no idea how much that helps so thank you.
